Automate Staff Status with ALO’s Geofencing Feature

Last updated 4 months ago

Managing team operations effectively requires tools that streamline processes while ensuring security. ALO’s geofencing feature helps you do this by automating staff status based on location, providing an innovative solution to manage your workforce.

How It Works

With ALO’s geofencing, you can define specific geographic zones using coordinates and a customizable meter radius to create a circular boundary. These zones can be tailored to individual roles, ensuring the feature aligns with your team’s operational needs. For example, you can apply geofencing to field staff or other role-specific groups, leaving other roles unaffected.

When staff members log into ALO and step outside their assigned boundary, the system automatically sets their status to "Off Duty." This change means:

  • No Data Access: Staff members will lose access to sensitive data within ALO, ensuring that information is protected when they’re outside their operational area.

  • No Notifications: Notifications will be paused, preventing unnecessary alerts from disrupting staff outside their duty zone.

Customization

One of the standout features of ALO’s geofencing is its flexibility. You can:

  • Apply boundaries to specific roles instead of your entire workforce.

  • Set custom boundary sizes depending on operational requirements.

  • Quickly update boundaries as your needs change.
